Abstract

We present our initial center experience, using cyanoacrylate for great saphenous vein (GSV) occlusion. Total of 6 cases of GSV incompetency treated with cyanoacrylate embolization without use of conscious sedation or tumescent anesthesia are described with the procedural details and initial results. The peri and post procedural early findings and 1 and 3rd and 6th month follow up showed that all of the treated GSVs were successfully occluded suggesting that this method may be an alternative in treating GSV incompetency in the future.
