Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items. Please note that submissions that fall outside the journal's aim and scope may be rejected at the preliminary evaluation stage, and submissions that do not comply with these guidelines will be returned to the authors for correction before further evaluation.

• The submission's content falls within the Aim and Scope of Acta Medica.
• The manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines, adhering to the limits and structures defined for the chosen article type.
• The main document is fully anonymized for double-blind peer review and contains no author names, affiliations, or other identifying information (see Main Document (Blind Manuscript)).
• All required information and declarations (e.g., ethics committee approval, informed consent, conflicts of interest, funding, and author contributions) are ready to be provided completely and accurately during submission (see Submission Information and Declarations).
• All tables and figures are cited in the text and placed at the end of the main document, and high-resolution files of all figures are ready to be uploaded separately.
• The submission has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration by another journal. If the manuscript has been posted as a preprint, this must be disclosed during submission and stated in the cover letter.
• References are formatted according to the journal's reference style, and DOIs are provided where available.
• The authors agree to the terms of the Copyright Statement and the Open Access Statement (CC BY).
• Any use of artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted technologies in the preparation of the work has been disclosed in accordance with the Use of Artificial Intelligence section.
